Exchange etc.
Some might have known, I got HEC Montreal, my first choice, for exchange but is currently the only person (in our circle) who is going to be there. You know how it feels when you are so excited upon seeing the news but just get more and more sian as the days go. Then again, no news might be better than bad news so I am still hoping for the best for our Montreal dream team. :)
Then there are other things which made me not as excited as before too.
It just hit me, suddenly, that for the few months I am away, my mum is going to be alone at home for at least 5 days a week since Padro is enlisting soon. Not that the 3 of us form a super close knitted family but I was imagining how it will be like to come home to an empty house, clean unoccupied rooms, watch TV on the couch, all alone. Then again, I'm quite glad she has her own active and happening social circle, 5 mins drive to her parents and siblings' homes, she can get her auntie gang to play mahjong without disturbing anyone. She might enjoy it. Maybe?
Then I look at my boyfriend, and wonder if we can survive this 4-5 months of LDR. This acronym spells fear in me, and this fear is not exactly unfounded. Then again, its all within us. I'm glad trust is not an issue (on my side, at least). If I can be cool and relaxed about his colleagues bringing him to pubs in geylang with skimpily clad girls walking around waiting to be touched (and paid), I know that I totally trust him. But well, if one day this trust gets misused, ......................................................... (someone complete the sentence for me please). Now I understand how lynnette felt back then. But one thing I'm quite sure of is that I will not make the same decision as her.
