Arrival
Our flight was supposed to be at 6.10pm, so we left at 4pm and reach Budget Terminal at about 4.30 pm. On arrival, I saw the the siannest thing in the world.

Flight delayed for one hour. So we checked in and went for an airport tour. Took a shuttle bus to T2, walked around, and took the skytrain to T3, walked around, drank some tea/coffee plus toast at Wang Jiao. Fang, I went to buy a lanyard from mini toons for my camera too!

At Wang Jiao, I realised the pair of black jellies I was wearing tore. :( But as you can see from below, I took the sign well and came back feeling like a centipede. :) Luckily I had my birks in my laggauge to change into upon landing.

After our coffee/tea, we headed back to BT and monkeyed around abit more.

The flight went well, departed punctually and everything was smooth. Managed to get some sleep and arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport as per scheduled, took a taxi to Samran Place whereby the cabbie got lost, whether intentionally or not we wouldn't know.
Checked in, dump our stuff and out we went to Saphan Phut night market. It's near Chao Phraya River which is quite a distance from Pratunam area (about 80-100 baht taxi fare) but we got a very good cabbie who doubled as a guide and intro us to a few markets we passed by in his very limited English. Could tell that this market was more for locals and we looked kinda out of place, expecially with his huge camera slinging around his neck. But it also means that the things are cheap and it helps if you could speak abit of Thai (or bring a calculator along) cos some people there can't speak a bit of English.

The stalls

And yes, they have a pet stall there :)
The market was so big but we only walked about half of it cos we didn't feel right venturing in deeper as it got later. I would recommend Saphan Phut Night Market! Just dress down, and try to blend in with the locals it should be ok. They look pretty harmless but still to be safe, good to have guys around. :)
Headed back to hotel to watch the red devils kick some arses (pun intended) in monotonous Thai commentary. You wouldn't be able to tell that there's goal just by listening, unlike those we always watch back home. But its quite funny lah, listening to the Thai version of "Nani" and "Rooney". The always like to drag their "neeeeeeeee". Lol. I fell asleep after the 3rd goal, shortly after Arsenal was 1 man down.
Thats for day 1.
