Last minute shopping and getting ready for home
We were pretty much used to the waking up time and surprisingly, both of us did not suffer any hangover from the night before. Had our usual breakfast set and headed to the next door massage place again. He had his foot massage again (!) while I did a manicure and pedicure for 150 baht each. Dirt cheap but unfortunately, the nail polish was quite cui so it started chipping not long after I came home.

My toes
Their first customer of the day
Went back to check out slightly before 12 and deposited out luggage with them and scooted off for our Siam Square, MBK, Discovery Centre raid. Basically we wanted to shop that area only after we have gone through the cheap goods.
Mr Donut. I was too full to get Dunkin after that
Very silly, I know
Lunch - Thai restaurant at MBK. Familiar hor, Steph and Fang?!
Thai milk tea. Yums! Hee, the remains of my tom yum soup
Ok, we didn't really take a lot of photos on our last day cos we either lost the excitement or were simply too busy trying to grab last minute goods before its all too late.
Headed back to Samran Place for the last time to get our luggage and tried to get a cab. Sigh... getting a cab to the airport was the worst. They all tell you its peak hour, there's jam blah blah and quote seriously seriously ridiculous prices. We ended up paying the cabbie 400 plus (?), after bargaining with a few cabbies, which I still thought was insane but I didn't want to risk missing my flight or anything. In the end, we were way too early at the airport cos the whole jam bullshit was well, bullshit!
And you know whats the best thing? The massage place lady boss told us she could help us get taxi at 300 baht when I was doing my manicure but I simply ignored her and totally forgot about it. Only recalled that conversation with her when I was reminded by my nails in Singapore. Oh well.. XIA! SOMETHING TO NOTE HERE! If you guys can't get taxi to the airport from Samran Place, go find the massage centre and ask if they can help. She told me its 300 baht. :)
On the 400plus baht cab ride!
Eager to go home, yet can't bear to leave
Our super weird dinner which was a mixture of German, Japanese and Hong Kong cuisines.
Very pleased with myself in maximizing my baggage limit. :)) We had sooo much time to kill after checking in cos of the alleged jam so we roamed the new Bangkok airport and I made a very happy purchase at Coach from the untouched baht Dad gave me. I had to do him justice by helping him spend a little, you know.
And finally finally...
Boarding the plane Do you know how to operate the emergency exit? Emergency exit seats means a whole lot more leg room!
My duty free buys
Thats about it, folks. Arrived in Singapore close to midnight. Mummy came to fetch us from Budget Terminal arrival hall, sent the boyfriend home and headed home ourselves. :)

I clubbed with my Dad, beat that!
And so, the alarm which I set on my calendar to call Yenfang did not go off, for whatever reason. I woke up to the "you're way too beautiful girl..." actual wake up alarm 2 hours later. :( I still have not figured out why the alarm didn't work.
So anyway, breakfast was the same. Delon asked me if the orange juice was free flow, I have no freaking idea cos I did not intend to drink more than 1 glass at all. The coffee and tea were, by the way.
Pratunam market and Platinum were on the itinery so we set off for Pratunam market after breakfast. Pratunam was nostalgic as some of the stalls looked too familiar. I was trying hard to look for my 100 baht denim skirt stall but I guess its not there anymore. Things at these 2 places were pretty cheap as well, especially if you are getting 3 pieces and above. I wished my fellow girlies were there at that time cos it seemed pretty ridiculous to get 3 pieces of the same stuff.
Tell me this isn't your soft spotMy fav pic! In a lift in some random quiet mall Looking all serious and concentrated Streets of Pratunam market Platinum mall! Lunch at Platinum foodcourt. The corn was so huge I couldn't resist! Super yummy coffee bun and crepe!
Lun! This pic is for you!!
Platinum proved to be a touristy place cos the cabbies all refused to go by meter again! So we decided to walk further away from it to get a cab but as we walked, we recognised some landmarks which proved that we were near our hotel so we just continued walking while he happily snapped pictures. The whole walk took us about 20 mins?
Walking back from PlatinumWe dumped our loots and went down for a foot massage which came with some shoulder massage as well. Ahh... absolutely what I needed!
Happy people, waiting to massage their tired feet Tattooed arms massaging those hairy legsArranged to meet up with Daddy for dinner. The initial plan was to go Yaowarat for seafood but Dad wants to bring us to Anna Cafe where I had my "birthday" there 3 years ago. Thought it would be a pretty cool place to show the boyfriend the once every 10 mins birthday song. All we had to do was to inform one of the waiter that it was someone's birthday and they would give you a free cake with a super loud birthday song from the whole ging gang of waiter. So they actually sang me a happy birthday song in April 2005. No checking of identification or anything, so almost every table had a birthday celebration going on when I was there.
But turned out that Anna's Cafe was taken over by the MK group and had became a Thai fine dining restaurant. The place is quite nice and the food was pretty ok. Dad had 2 other friends who were there on a business trip and the bill for 5 of us came up to less than 100SGD, including a bottle of white wine, which we thought was quite cheap for that kind of ambiance and standard.
Vday decor, while waiting for Daddy to pick us up The atas Thai fine dining restaurant
Our food and wine Self-entertaining when the 3 men went out for their after meal smokeAfter dinner we followed Daddy back to his hotel to check out his Jacuzzi suite. Its like a boutique hotel, named Veronica Residence. His suite which came with a jacuzzi was only120SGD per night. It freaking big and posh comes with free wifi and everything. Good if you want something luxurious just that its not located near our usual favourite shopping areas but that area has its fair share of shopping centres, pubs and clubs as well.
Bathroom We ended the night with a clubbing session at club Santika at Sukhumvit. Its a nice place to hang out, with live band and super good service. We had beer and Chivas, and coupled with the wine over dinner, we got pretty high. It wasn't that hard for me to see my dad club. He was high, I was high too. His friends were more like entertaining him. Too bad we didn't bring any of our cameras along for clubbing cos we didn't know how the place was like hence went with as little things as possible. But it turned out that I felt totally safe and regretted like mad for not even bringing my camera phone!
This clubbing session became the highlight of my trip because everytime someone asks me about my trip, I have to pause after saying " I went clubbing with my Dad" and continue after they finish ga-ing about it. So yes, its true, I clubbed with my papa, real papa.
Me and chan left pretty early and cabbed back on our own, leaving Dad and his friends to party. We were pretty seh already lah. And I almost puked in the cab. If I did, it would be the driver's driving skills and not because I can't drink. Haha!
You wouldn't want to know how much shitload nonsense my boyfriend said when he was high. I was composed enough to set the alarm, and set an extra one to check out, just in case we sleep through the first one. Changed into my PJ, plonked on the bed, observed the spinning ceiling, ignoring all his nonsense, and fell asleep. :)
End of day 3!

SHOP, EAT AND LIVE LIKE KING AND QUEEN
We got up early (as compared to Singapore standards) and had our first meal in Bangkok. Breakfast was simple. We got to choose 1 breakfast out of 6 and both of us had American breakfast which includes eggs, sausages, ham, toast, tea/coffee and juice.
I am not a breakfast person so the portion was pretty much more than enough for me.
After breakfast we set off for the four-faced buddha where I was trying to help Fang buy the stuff for her father and to get a money changer to exchange our other half of money cos a few sources told us the rates are better over at Bangkok, which wasn't true from what I saw. So anyway we managed to change for baht at Gaysorn Plaza. This Gaysorn Plaza turned out to be our private joke throughout the trip because the way the reception pronounced it was pretty funny and we kept trying to imitate that nasal accent.Devote Buddhists at the famous four faced Buddha The morning was bright and sunny and awesome but it was then I realised that my RM5 sunglasses broke. :( Damn sad can. Although its super duper cheap but I really liked the design a lot. Then again I guess it has served me well and as you might have expected, I got a myself a replacement. :)After the whole Gaysorn joke, off we went to raid Chatuchak! Despite hearing stories about it being more touristy and pricey now, I still think that it is a must-go! There's nothing much to say, the place itself is self-explanatory. :)
Streets of Chatuchak
In my attempt to be environmental friendly, he said I made him look gay. A chubby boy trying on 250 baht shirts
BAGS!
SHOESSSS!
The 'which one nicer' effects.
Unfortunately the awesome weather did not hold. After 3 hours there, it rained. So we bidded Chatuchak a hasty goodbye and proceeded back to our hotel to dump our loots. By the time the cabbie got lost and went for a few detours, the sun was back when we got back. -_-
So we took a 5mins walk down the streets and had lunch at A&W!! Excited like mad.The boy behind the camera made me stand outside till he is done with taking his shots, hence the face . But it turned out to be a nice one. :)))
My fav! Mac's twister fries tasted so blah after I came home.
Don't jeals, cheers! :)
Nothing beats a 9SGD full body massage after an afternoon of walking.
Me in their silly massage outfit Dinner was at Fuji Jap restaurant at Siam Paragon. Another reason to love Bangkok is for its cheap jap food.
Our spread for 30plus SGD Digging in
We took the BTS to Patpong. The safest and most efficient transport around. You don't have to hold your breath everytime your cabbie changes lane or notice that his signal lights are all lit up, speedometer not working and has to break with the help of his handbrake. The BTS wouldn't bring you on detours deliberately and you wouldn't need to bargain with drivers who refused to go by the meter.
Us on the BTS. The couplish outfit wasn't intentional.
To me, Patpong isn't a red light district. Ok, yes it is, but its more like a ka tourist place to me and I hate places filled with tourists. A check with the prices tells me that things are about 2-3 times more expensive. And taxis picking up passengers there refused to go by meter, ALL of them. And they quote prices which can probably bring you around Bangkok city 10 times. Super irritating, but paying the cabbie a flat rate also meant that one look at the map, he would bring us to the right place without making detours.
We walked around abit, with people showing you a piece of cardboard which reads "VCD, DVD Sex" and people asking you to watch pussy do funny stunts. Damn irritating, every few steps someone comes up to you and invite you to watch the female's part do stunts. After a while we got clever and learnt to reject them by lying that we watched already. By the way their porno collection is quite updated cos I saw Edison's face on some of the CD covers. lol
We chilled at a beer garden with Chang and Heineken and people watched, and just letting time whooze pass. Drinking together rarely occur in Singapore being the car whores and law abiding citizens we are, so the drinking part is in itself a being on holiday thing.
There wasn't anything much to do there so we left pretty early and had an early night since I planned to call Yenfang the next morning before her departure (which sadly, I didn't).
