Do you know...
I got my new toy. Hehe. My creative zen vision M, prettily in white. Thank you Eunice darling for the help. :) But I'm kinda lazy to take pictures. And its still charging by my side of my lappy with wires running around so its not really nice. Another time k?
Anyway, for the benefit of my fellow tax-mates and for the entertainment of others, just wanna share some stuff here. Since its the "pay tax" period, no harm knowing more about the people who collects your tax.
Do you know that, according to IRAS and the income tax act:
- Canteen and childcare centre provided by the employer are qualifying structures which can claim IBA? (Which part of it is qualifying? Because it is a form of welfare to staff, so qualify.)
- A fascimile machine is considered as an automated equipment which S19A allows a 100% write off but a photocopier is not? (Hmm, I didn't know photocopier is manual. Alright, manual in some sense. But ain't a fax machine manual in some way too?)
- Trucks and lorries are allowed to have a 3 year write off under S19A but a van is not? (Because their weight gives them the advantage. Hahaha. Not kidding lah, Yee Long says 3 tonnes or G-plate.)
Seriously, now I fully understand why people always say tax needs alot of practice. Cos only through practising, you realise this kind of "huh?" stuff.
