My weekend technically started on Tuesday 8.15pm because I pon QM on Wed. Hehe. One of the "dont feel like waking up" days.

My steak turned out quite successful. Hehe. Presentation not bad hor? And it taste quite good too. He said its better than the one at Chigaco Steakhouse. Shy lah. The entire 4-course meal took us about 45 min to gobble up but the preparation and the clearing up took forever.
Went to BPP NTUC thrice and once to Rail Mall Cold Storage. First destination BPP NTUC to get those stuff they have, then drove down to Rail Mall for the stuff lao ya NTUC don't sell (e.g. steak and asparagus). Second trip to NTUC upon realising that I dont have steak knife at home. Lao ya NTUC doesn't sell them too. Wasted trip. In the end, called him up and asked him to bring from home. HAHA! Halfway through preparing the mash potato, realised the only block of butter left over from baking has expired. Don't want to take the risk so off I went to NTUC for the 3rd time. -_- And we mopped the kitchen and living room floor 3-4 times after the meal because we cant seem to get rid of the oil. Until this afternoon, my whole house still reek of butter smell from grilling the steak. And up till now, I still find my floor abit oily. If you know the layout of house, its damn easy for the smoke and all to travel to the living room. :( Lucky mummy never kb.
Argh, sorry ah Dear. I know its nice. But I think I wouldn't be cooking steak for the next 10 years. The mash potato can. Haha. And frankly speaking, I am damn proud of myself. I never thought I will be able whip up a 4-course western meal and do the steak, sauce, mash potato from scratch. An addition to chef Peg's speciality. Hehe.
Took the good old LRT to Lot 1 and caught Just Follow Law. Quite funny. Never heard Fann Wong scold "nah bei", see her walk with wide open legs, dig nose before? You get to do them there. I think Mediacorp should give Fann Wong such roles rather than the good old demure, rich girl kinda role 'cos those can't show off her ability to act. I think its good job by her. But my favourite character in the show is that Muthu. He is freaking funny ah!!! Its kind of an irony for a civil servant him to watch but I think they can relate better. So he will be telling me things like "this is so true" throughout the show. But being very typical Jack Neo movie, you need to understand abit of Hokkien and Singlish to get it. And maybe Tamil? I dunno man. That Muthu blabbers in Tamil in the show but we can only read subtitles. Hahaha.

Anyway, my silly boy gave me this. Funny right? So primary school but it really makes me laugh. Cos I told him not to buy flowers so he came up with this idea. He arranged the beans in a heart shape but when they started sprouting, the shape is kinda gone. Some of them grew by alot in one night but some can't seem to grow tall. Sigh, we did learn that they fight for sunlight, water and nutrients among themselves. I hope my sprouts can live longer. Anyone wants

My season of gaining pounds has started since our 4course dinner last night. Had so called reunion dinner with his immediate family today, reunion dinner at my mum's side (外婆's house) tmr, reunion dinner at Ah Ma's place on Sat. 3 reunion dinners in one row, not forgetting the fact that all the reunion dinner chefs can cook damn well. Hi, fats! Coupled with all the pineapple tarts, bak kua, love letters etc. Best. Chinese New Year is a season of feeding wallets and bank accounts as well as yourself.
Happy feeding yourselves, everyone!
