A Proud Daughter

Went to a place which made me feel so proud of my dad. Was at Ah Ma's place then Gong Gong decided to bring me there to see see. Dad's new hostel partnered with a friend. Singapore International Campus.
Did not see him there cos he was out. But when we reached, the partner was interviewing a lady. They are hiring an admin staff. When the interview was over. He told us that he told the interviewees about his partner (Dad). That he can be quick tempered and stuff. Meaning to say, the person they are hiring must be able to take such things. HAHA! And that got those ladies a little scared. HAHA! I was laughing in my heart when he told us that. HAHA! I have a personal testimony to share with those ladies, if they want. Boss is not easy. BUT as long as you don't make mistakes, everything should be fine. But sometimes, admin stuff in the hostel can be very subjective. What you think is OK might not be OK to him. Thats the tricky part. Oh well, good luck to all of them. I wonder how much they are paying the admin staff. Maybe I can work there til school starts before they get someone, hor? Tsk.
Anyway, back to Singapore International Campus. I wonder who came up with that name. I still like Amsen. But its not so nice to use the old one cos this is a partnership. But the name makes the whole feeling very WOW. I had a tour around. Its quite nice. Very spacious. Afterall its converted from an ex-primary school. A proper canteen as dinning hall with proper pool table and equipments, basketball court. All the classrooms converted into bedrooms. Nice. I like it, compared to the old Amsen. But I don't understand why its always funny colours. Amsen was very greenish. Very weird shade of green and this SIC is super orangy. Haha. I have no qualms lah. I can't expect it to be purple right?
I think its a good place for a birthday party. Haha. I dunno if they will allow. Cos its not just Dad's say only anymore but I think it will be a good place to hold my birthday party. Haha! I'm talking my 21st. I know, abit too early. I'm not even 20 yet. But no harm thinking right? The location is quite good compared to the usual Pasir Ris/ Downtown East. Its off Farrer Road, beside St Magaret. The previous Nanyang Primary School. Near Serene Centre and Coronation Plaza. I can't remember the street name of the address. It Lu-somthing. The dinning hall has a mini stage, which I wonder why the school wants a stage in the canteen in the first place. They made 3 bbq pits beside the dinning hall. And since its a hostel, there are even rooms (subject to availability) for stay over. Cool eh?
Before I get too excited over it.
Singapore International Campus is a place you wanna stay if you are a foreigner studying in Singapore man! Be it SMU, NUS, NTU, SIM or other private schools (which I believe most are situated near town), the location of SIC is so convenient. It even has a mini mart in the campus itself. You don't even have to go out to get your snacks, toiletries and stuff. Its damn cool. You can get to mingle with folks from your home country and other students from other countries.
They have a
website. Its not up yet when I tried. But stay tuned for more information. =)
