Shrinking World
Was having supper with Chan, Mou and Jinwei and met Mr. and Mrs. Tan there. Such a small world. They were Chan's tutor. What a coincidence. Haven't seen them since a long time though I am still in contact with Mr. Tan via e-mail. Erm, should I say that Mr. Tan didn't use to have that belly? Hah. But it feels good to see your primary school teacher who had actually made an impact to you. yeah!
And while helping to clear and pack some stuff after I got home from supper, bro found some casette tapes which he said belonged to me. The childish handwritting reads "Shoulder to cry on", "Can't smile without you", "Thank you for the music" etc. Yirong, Lun, Chay, do they ring a bell? Those were Mr. Tan's hard work and special way of helping us. Old stuff. Dated back to 1997, 1998. What, again, a coincidence. I can't believe I actually still have those casette tapes. I shall go check if they are still play-able.
